The 2025 NC Science Festival's Statewide Star Party event will be held at DSO! Our event will be on the evening of April 5, 2025. Join us for a night under the Moon and stars at Appalachian State University’s Dark Sky Observatory and the Jo & Don Cline Visitor Center. The main targets for our telescope are the first quarter Moon, Jupiter, Mars, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies . If we are clouded out we will have a PowerPoint slide show, a facility tour, and Q&A. There will be two sessions, from 8:00pm -9:30, and 10:00-11:30.
